Nike Prepares for Winter with the Vomero 5 Roam in “Particle Rose”

As one of Nike's most trendy and sought-after models in recent years, the Vomero 5 has naturally received a lot of attention from the brand. Along with dozens of inline colorways, last year Nike introduced a weather-ready version of the Vomero 5 Roam , which reimagined the retro runner as a cold-weather shoe. And now, with winter making its presence felt again, the brand is continuing to evolve the line with a new women's version , the Particle Rose .

Like most previous releases, this model features the signature two-tone blocking—this time in Particle Rose and Silt Red . The upper is crafted from a soft, insulated, and water-resistant mesh designed to withstand challenging weather conditions. The lower section is reinforced with a TPU bumper and a chunky, trail-specific outsole for enhanced traction and durability.

To understand why the Vomero enjoys such a status today, it's worth considering its origins. The Nike Zoom Vomero first appeared in 2006 as a high-tech running shoe focused on maximum comfort for everyday training. The line quickly became known for its combination of Zoom Air and Cushlon cushioning, providing a soft yet stable ride.

However, the Vomero truly gained a second life much later—when the Vomero 5 unexpectedly became a streetwear icon. Its technical Y2K silhouette, layered construction, and "running" look fit perfectly with contemporary fashion, making it a favorite of stylists and the creative community.

The Vomero 5 Roam logically continues this evolution: from pure performance footwear to an all-season lifestyle solution. The model retains the original's DNA but adds practicality, transforming the iconic silhouette into a fully-fledged winter option without sacrificing style.
